WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF
CHIPPENHAM CIVIC SOCIETY
Who we are
Chippenham Civic Society seeks to promote civic pride in our town by encouraging an interest in its buildings and notable people. We have a varied events programme and informative magazine. We are a registered charity, formed in 1974, and welcome members of all ages, interests and backgrounds.
We are members of the Civic Trust - now Civic Voice, Chippenham Area Partnership and Chippenham Chamber of Commerce.
Our main aims are to ensure Chippenham remains a pleasant place in which to live, that its interesting buildings are protected and that its new developments are good quality and sympathetic to its historic market town character.
The Rt.Hon.The Earl Cairns CVO CBE of Bolehyde Manor, Allington, is President of Chippenham Civic Society.
Please join us to help ensure the best possible future for our town.
