A History of Chippenham
A History of Chippenham from Alfred to Brunel was published on 14 March 2009. This profusely illustrated paperback with numerous photographs, maps and plans is indispensable for
anyone interested in the town’s history and makes an excellent present. It covers the social history, notable families, industry, architecture, local MPs and many other topics.
The book costs £7 and is available from the membership secretary and Chippenham Museum and Heritage Centre. It is also now available from the Chippenham Museum.
